Reno & Cavanaugh’s attorneys have joined the firm from all walks of life, including in-house counsel positions at housing authorities, policy positions at HUD, the profession of architecture, and joint degree programs in public policy and business administration – and all have a passion for increasing access to affordable housing and bettering diverse communities. Associates at Reno & Cavanaugh participate actively in firm management, as major decisions are made through a steering committee comprised of two Members, an associate, and the business manager. Associates also participate in other committees that shape the R&C's development as well as monthly meetings with the firm's Members.
Our firm culture has a great blend professionalism and passion. It sounds like a cliché, but every day I work on issues that are important to me, with people who I respect and whose company I truly enjoy. And every door is open here to help you become the kind of attorney that you want to become. - Jaime Lee, Reno & Cavanaugh associate from 2002-2006 and Member since 2007
The people of Reno & Cavanaugh make it a dynamic, engaging, and fun workplace. Given the core social dimension of our work, there is a heightened level of commitment on the part of our R&C staff to providing excellent legal assistance to our clients to assist them in improving their communities. I feel fortunate to be a part of a committed and talented team engaged in important work. After five years in-house at a housing authority and work prior to that in an academic setting, I was somewhat concerned about my ease of transition into firm life. Fortunately, the firm understands the importance of a healthy work-life balance and folks here try very hard to ensure that no one is overburdened or overwhelmed by the work or the administrative requirements of the practice of law.
