The Future of Public Housing - Beginning in June 2008, Reno & Cavanaugh has participated in the Summit on the Future of Public Housing, an effort initiated by the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities and funded by the Housing Authority Insurance Group to develop a consensus policy framework for reinvesting in and sustaining public housing over the next decade.  This effort, extraordinary in its own way, brought together a wide range of organizations to forge a new paradigm for the preservation of public housing.  Steve Holmquist, of R&C, was the principal author of the Policy Framework endorsed by this diverse group of housing providers and advocates. The framework provides a new reinvestment strategy along with a restructuring of the public housing portfolio and will provide a foundation on which the new administration can build new and better public housing policies.
